Nero MediaServer4 is very basic and noticeably slower than Mezzmo. The speed of the menus, response to clicking, load time and presentation is now far better than my Samsung LED 6050. No slow-downs or waiting (rotating circle) when serving HD videos. No Server Disconnect problems after using for 4-5 hours. No errors for picture folders with 1000+ files. Response to clicking folders, pictures and video is much faster. All media servers have shown up almost immediately, even when powering on/off the TV. Im not sure if the problem is firmware or the network card.Ĭhecked Media Servers. The current firmware version is 4.12.22, however, well make sure everything is working for a week or so and only upgrade if the firmware can be downgraded. We did not upgrade and turned automatic upgrade off. New TV came with firmware version 3.21.12. The Build date is July 2012 while the build date on the returned TV was June 2012. I returned the TV and exchanged for a new one. Seemed to work good for about 1hr 15min and I thought I got it. Powered Router, booted PC and then turned the TV on. About half the time it connects, the other half, it simply disapears.Ī few other things tried. I think LG knows Nero is there but is trying to connect. On the AV Input selection, Nero shows up almost right away, however, it has a rotating circle for about 30 sec. Nero shows up a little different from WMP or Mezzmo. Tried again with WMP and Mezzmo with same results. Only got about 15 min before 'Server Disconnected'. I was able to view for about 30 min before the 'Server Disconnected' message showed up. I clicked Nero and started to view pictures. Once the Media Servers show, you can click any. You have to keep checking to see if they are available. After a few min, the servers start showing, WMP, Mozzmo & Nero. When first switched on, no Media Servers show on the AV Input (Only AV Inputs, HDMI, etc). Not too much load on my XP system unless I start a full scan. Now WMP, Mezzmo & Nero are all running at the same time. I installed Nero last night and scanned all the same pictures and videos.
